Major Characters

Lia Lia Whitten - Daisy's roommate and best friend. Lia is easily distracted and overly enthusiastic, but she is also very astute. She loves books and puzzles and PIRATES. When she was very young, Lia's father was killed. Her mother disappeared when Lia was 11, leaving behind only an anchor pendant which Lia always wears. She spent the rest of her adolescence in a series of unsavory foster situations. Despite her rather sad early life, she remains upbeat, friendly, and open-minded. Lia currently works at a call center with her friend Jane.

Daisy Daisy Rodaker - Lia's roommate and best friend. Daisy was recently revealed to be a victim of a partially foiled memory-erase-ritual-sacrifice scheme. She is naturally athletic and full of energy, but after being pulled back into the conflict between the two clans, she has become hesitant and unsure of herself. Daisy knows very little of her past. She currently works part-time as a bartender and holds a second job as a clerk at the Worthing University bookstore.

Brio Brio Lonnigan - Daisy's significant other. Brio is a stubborn man with a jealous streak. He is by no means a romantic, prefering the practical to the fanciful. He can be a bit of a doofus, but his intentions are typically pure. Brio could be described as a coward though it's less cowardice and more realistic understanding of his own abilities. In a stressful situation, Brio will turn to alcohol if it's available. As he experienced a bad relationship with Piper shortly before meeting Daisy, he feels threatened by Cade's presence in Daisy's life.

Jane Jane Elder - Lia's work buddy. Jane is the daughter of wealthy and influential history buff Roderick Elder. An only child in a single parent situation, Jane is accustomed to getting what she wants, typically through guilt-tripping her father with memories of her mother. She is kind-hearted by nature, but Jane is primarily concerned with Jane. She is a natural leader and does not hesistate to lash out when she is threatened. Jane currently works at a call center with Lia to basically give her something to do.

Cade Cade Brigant - a Clan Grey Flame assassin. Cade was Daisy's fiance pre-memory loss. Very little is known about him or his past as he is not inclined to share. In battle, he is agile, ruthless, and deadly accurate. Cade's sarcastic streak makes him seem arrogant and rude, but this is his defense mechanism. Given the nature of his lifestyle, he does not form social bonds easily and is awkward in most social situations.

Supporting Cast

Walter Walter Travon - Lia and Daisy's neighbor. Mr. Travon is a lecherous, persistant pervert. He spies on the girls to find out their schedules then conveniently shows up wherever they will be. While he's eerily fixated on Lia, Mr. Travon has something of a roving eye and will flirt with any female in his presence. Not much is known about Mr. Travon's personal life - mostly because no one has stayed around him long enough to ask.

Piper Piper Daniels - Brio's ex-fiance. Piper left Brio suddenly and disappeared with a man named Jerry. Piper now resides on Greystone Island and is the owner of The Ugly Coconut, a beach-side bar. She has an alpha personality and could be described as pushy and mean. She is persistant and seldom recognizes "no" as an answer. Piper prefers to be around people with less powerful personalities as she enjoys being in absolute control over any given situation.

Emeline Emeline Rodaker - Daisy's adoptive mother. Mrs. Rodaker and her husband Craig were friends of Daisy's family. After Daisy's parents turned up missing, Emeline officially adopted her. She is a high-ranking member of Clan Grey Flame though she is rarely involved in combat or missions. She is very protective of Daisy and her friends and tries very hard to present and maintain as normal a life as possible.

Craig Craig Rodaker (deceased) - Daisy's adoptive father. Mr. Rodaker and his wife Emeline were friends of Daisy's family. He and Emeline officially adopted Daisy after Daisy's parents turned up missing. He was a high-ranking member of Clan Grey Flame and took very high-profile, high-risk missions. After his attempted rescue of Daisy, he was murdered by an official of the Black Mongoose Clan.

Nerine Nerine Robeson - a Clan Black Mongoose assassin. Very little is known about Nerine. She is a very high-ranking assassin within Black Mongoose and is entrusted with high-profile, typically very brutal missions. Despite this, she did not engage Cade and the others during Daisy's rescue.
